Sept. 27, 2024 – (ATLANTA) The Georgia Public Service Commission would like to thank the utility linemen and linewomen who work hard to ensure your power is restored after a storm.
If your power was interrupted by Hurricane Helene’s strong winds, please remember that men and women who work for EMCs, Georgia Power, and municipal power companies are out in trucks and up on poles working to ensure your services are restored.
As they work, the PSC wants to remind the public that a quick wave is enough thanks. Although some Georgians want to offer water or snacks, you must remember that linemen work in hazardous conditions. It is best to keep your distance and let them do their jobs.
